Spring Mountain Vineyard is an 845 acre privately owned estate of forest and vineyard on the eastern slopes of Napa Valley’s Spring Mountain, which rises behind the town of Saint Helena. The vineyard occupies 225 acres of the estate and is broken into 135 small and separate hillside blocks. These small blocks differ in elevation, soil type, exposure to the sun and microclimate. Planted primarily to the red Bordeaux varieties, each vineyard block produces a wholly unique wine and gives the winemaker a wealth of choices at blending time.

The property produces a traditional red Bordeaux blend, Elivette, as its signature wine. Elivette expresses the essence of the estate and the vintage in a refined French style. A Cabernet Sauvignon, crafted in a bold California style, is also produced. Pinot Noir, sourced from the estate’s coolest elevations, and Syrah, sourced from lower, warmer slopes are also produced in small quantities. One white wine, a rich and complex Sauvignon Blanc, is made using barrel fermentation and extended lees stirring.

The goal of the vineyard is to produce exceptional wines with the power, elegance and longevity provided by estate grown mountain fruit.
